The bracket is fabricated from 2 inch wide X 3/8 inch thick aluminium bar material consisting of 2 pieces that are 45 degree cut on each end. The 45 degree ends are aligned and welded to a precise 45 degree angle in order to suit the spotting scope assembly.

Also welded to the main bracket is a side piece upon which a aluminium plate is welded in order to mount the dovetailed precision sliding mechanisme and camera mounting bracket that is aligned to the centre of the scope and camera lenses.

Caution has to be used when focusing the camera unit, that the camera lens does not touch the scope eyepiece.

This could lock the lens movement and the camera has to be shut down and the camera moved back before proceding.

Also a shield has to be instaled in order to prevent light entering between the two lenses.
